- Tasting Note - Pinot Noir Précoce is a wonderful grape variety that is closely related to Pinot Noir. Early ripening, hence suited to the UK’s cool climate, it produces wines that are silky smooth, perfumed and somewhere between a New World Pinot and a Beaujolais Cru. Full or red cherry fruits and black forest gateau on the nose, the wine jumps out of the glass with its perfume. There are back-notes of truffle, spice and an earthiness coming from its time in Burgundian oak. On the palate, the wine is super soft, with low acidity and rounded tannins. The fruit and complexity develop to give an excellent length.
- Great with - roast bird or game or just a plain old good quality pizza!
