Nc'Nean Quiet Rebels 'Annabel' Organic Single Malt
The first seasonal release from the new 'Quiet Rebels' series. The series is all about the people who make Nc'Nean what it is, about the small team of eco-conscious drinks fanatics on a mission to bring together a new generation of Scotch drinkers.
In 2013 Annabel, Nc'Nean's queen of spirits, left her job as a consultant in London to found Nc'Nean. After a trip round Scotland, plus years of research, fundraising and building, Annabel established the distillery on her parents' farm on the Morvern Peninsula with a mission to lead in both innovation and sustainability, a mission which would bring together a team of quiet rebels sharing the same values.
Just a year after releasing the first whisky, Annabel wanted to create a spirit showcasing some of the early flavour experiments. after rooting through the warehouse, she has picked a moreish combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Tokaji barrels, a Hungarian wine cask which Annabel favours for the sweet and velvety texture it brings to the whisky.
Richly perfumed spirit with notes of floral almond biscotti, desiccated coconut and tropical fruits.
This whisky makes a big impression with the smallest footprint. Every bottle is certified organic, made in the 100% renewable energy distillery and bottled in a 100% recycled glass bottle.
How to drink 'Annabel': First and foremost, however you want! We like a 'whisky six': 2 parts Nc’nean to 4 parts Soda Water over plenty of ice, topped with a sprig of fresh mint.
