- Tasting Note - A marvellous tawny Port from Taylor's, this expression contains a unique blend of exquisite Port from its extensive aged tawny stock, which has been matured in seasoned Port casks. Released as part of Taylor’s Historical Collection, the design of this bottle is known as a ‘mallet-cylinder’, and if you're into the evolution of the humble glass bottle, it's really rather fascinating! This mallet style was common around the 1750s, after progressing from the more bulbous shape of older hand-blown glass, but before bottle necks became longer, to resemble the style of wine bottle that we are familiar with today. Now that is a great talking point to impress your guests with over a glass after dinner!
